After reading Autobiography of a Yoga, nine-year-old Farida Sharan made
the decision to devote her life to spiritual seeking, practice and service.
After self-healing breast cancer in the 70s, she made natural medicine
her life work. The story of this healing is told in the Herbs
of Grace book.
Raised in the pristine wilderness of British Columbia, during the 40s
and 50s, ripened as an artist and fashion designer in Los Angeles during
the psychedelic 60s and 70s, and matured as a Natural Physician and teacher
in Cambridge, England, during the 80s, Farida returned to Boulder, Colorado
in 1988 where she directs the School
of Natural Medicine and travels the world as a renowned international
seminar leader. She is also the author of Iridology:
A Complete Guide, Creative Menopause,
and Herbs of Grace Becoming Independently
Healthy.
In her inspiring new book, Flower Child, Farida shares the vulnerable
story of her own passage through a dysfunctional marriage, single parenthood
and loneliness during the psychedelic 60s to a life of stability, purpose
and spiritual commitment.
The opportunity to experience Farida Sharan's transformational mystic
yoga and dance workshops or participate in her natural medicine training
(herbal medicine, naturopathy and iridology) can be arranged through the
School of Natural Medicine in Boulder, Colorado. Please contact the office
by fax, phone or e-mail, and check out the
